A collection of the questions we hear most often.
Enquiries & Quotes
Q. When should I get in touch?
The earlier the better — but you don’t need to have your dates locked in. Something like “I’m thinking of coming to Japan around [month]” is plenty to get started.
Q. Are quotes free?
Rough estimates are free. If we need to request a detailed quote from one of our partners, a quoting fee applies — but this is fully refunded when you place a formal order.
Ballpark figures for international shipping (1 motorcycle):
- North America / Europe: approx. ¥500,000
- South America / Africa: approx. ¥800,000
Feel free to reach out even if you just want a rough idea.
Q. How quickly will you reply?
We aim to respond within 24–48 hours. During peak periods it may take a little longer, but we will always get back to you.
Q. Can I communicate in English?
Absolutely. Japanese, English, or any other language — whatever works for you.
Storage & Servicing
Q. Can you store my bike?
Yes, we can arrange storage for bikes that aren’t being ridden.
Q. Can you arrange servicing or repairs?
We can refer you to and liaise with our partner workshops.
Vehicle Purchase
Q. Can you help me find and buy a JDM or quality vehicle in Japan?
Yes, within our capabilities. We’ll work through your requirements — make, model, year, budget, condition, timeline — and coordinate the process from there.
Q. Can I export the vehicle overseas straight after purchasing it?
Yes. We can handle the entire chain — pickup, packing, and international shipping — in one continuous process.
International Shipping (Import & Export)
Q. Which countries can you ship to and from?
It depends on the case, but we’ll do our best to accommodate. To start, send us your origin and destination, target dates, and vehicle details. We’ll check with our partners and come back to you with realistic options.
Q. How far in advance should I get in touch about international shipping?
As early as possible. Sea freight in particular can take longer than expected, so we always recommend building in a comfortable buffer.

Q. How are fuel and batteries handled?
It depends on the shipping method and our partners’ regulations. Generally, the fuel tank must be empty and the battery terminals disconnected. In some cases, engine oil may need to be drained, or the battery may not be shippable at all.
Q. Can you handle customs clearance?
We handle information gathering and logistics coordination. The customs clearance process itself may need to be carried out by a specialist broker or by the client directly, depending on the situation. We’ll make clear from the start who does what.
Documentation & Procedures
Q. Can I get advice on Carnets and Temporary Import Permits (TIP)?
Yes. We can provide general information and point you toward the relevant authorities. Even if you’re at the stage of “I have no idea what I need,” feel free to ask.
Pricing & Payment
Q. How are fees determined?
Our fees consist of a service fee plus actual costs (payments to our partners). See our How Pricing Works page for details.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
- Bank transfer
- Credit card
- Wise, Revolut, PayPal
Q. Can additional charges come up after the initial quote?
We do our best to flag everything at the quote stage. If something looks like it might change, we’ll discuss it with you in advance. Transparency is something we take seriously.
Other
Q. What areas do you cover?
For international shipping, we work with destinations worldwide. For Japan-side arrangements (purchasing, pickup, etc.), we cover the whole country — with particularly strong partner networks in the Kanto, Kansai, and Hokkaido regions.
Q. Can you handle multiple vehicles?
Yes. Group touring arrangements are welcome — just get in touch.
Q. Do you handle four-wheeled vehicles (cars) as well?
Yes. We offer the same services — purchase support, shipping, and more — for cars as we do for motorcycles.
