CALI (Jibaiseki) Mail Order

You can apply for various types of CALI (Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance, Jibaiseki, 自賠責 – 自動車損害賠償責任保険) via the Internet. In addition to mopeds and electric kickboards, CALI mail order is available for vehicles with vehicle inspections (cars and motorcycles over 250cc) for user vehicle inspections (shaken 車検). We are an agent of Tokio Marine Group and Nisshin Fire & Marine Insurance.

Mopeds, light motorcycles and electric kickboards must have the insurance mark (sticker) shown above attached to the license plate.

CALI premiums for electric kickboards like Kintone model one S, Blaze Kickboard ev, Coswheel Mirai T Lite, Swallow Zero 10X, E-KON City, Glafit X-Scooter LOM, etc. start at 6,910 yen for one year.

CALI Mail Order Flow

1. (You) Confirms the explanation of important matters and submits the CALI application form.
2. (Our company) Sends back the amount of CALI premium and the account for payment by e-mail.
3. (You) Confirms the details of the contract and transfers the premium to the account.
4. (Our company) The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. “Certificate of CALI” and “Sticker (insurance mark)” will be sent by Letter Pack.

Required documents

• Documents confirming registration number and chassis number
  • Vehicle inspection certificate / 自動車検査証 (cars and motorcycles over 250cc)
  • Light vehicle registration certificate / 軽自動車届出済証 (motorcycles over 125cc and under 250cc)
  • Certificate of mark issuance / 標識交付証明書 (motorcycles under 125cc, electric kickboards)
• Certificate of CALI / 自動車損害賠償責任保険証明書 (if valid policy)

Caution

• The insurance contract will be concluded when we confirm the payment of premiums.
• As a general rule, the insurance start date is after the date the insurance policy is delivered to the customer (one week after application).
• The end date of insurance must be after the expiration date of the vehicle inspection (if the vehicle is subject to inspection).
• CALI certificate and mark will be sent to the contracted address.
